Response to Gbongi - 1

There are few things in trolling.
Depths of Lure is determined by trolling speed, main fishing line thickness, Length of the main fishing line out, and weight of lures. Trolling speed is determined by the target fish (and type of lures). So the depth of lure is set. If the main fishing line is too thick, then more weight is needed for the lure. On the tandem rig, the weight of the inline sinker changes according to the all these factors.

Response to Gbongi - 3

To make the tandem rig more effective, there are three things we do. Firstly, separate the upper and lower lure as much as possible vertically. This will put two lures in two different depths. Secondly, separate two lures horizontally as much as possible. This gives a reluctant or slow fish (striped Bass) the second chance. The upper lure will come seconds after the missed the lower lure.

Response to Gbongi - 5

2) Place the rod into a rod holder on the fish side. The angle of rod holder is set in such a way that the rod is leaning toward the water. This prevents rod tip from being wrapped by fishing line when the big fish frantically jerks and splash the water. And the most importantly it will prevent the rod tip from breaking.

Bring the big fish into the kayak is a different topic.

I will talk about it after I capture the big fish on the video

Thanks,
